Hello everyone!
I am pleased to announce that we had a good weekend over at Fenix House. Now, I don’t only refer to having a good day as the amount of money you end up with, but rather the relationships you build with customers and the networking you end up doing.
Created by Mr. Bill’s sister, Ms. Donna. I think she did an amazing job capturing him cartoon-style. |
To prove this, I ended up finding a really nice old lady that sells Avon products for less than half the price, and they were all brand new, un-spoiled, and sealed! I’d bought some stuff elsewhere and it was so old the cream wouldn’t even come outta the tub, what a rip-off!
I’m happy to report this lady does not just sell the crap to make a profit, she’s actually been selling Avon products for about 20 years and has been in that market for 7. Like she says: “I’m trying to pay the rent for this booth and make a living, I’m not out to rip you off”. And trust me: It shows. I bought a couple of eye creams for mother and she ended up giving me 2 of the $6 eyeliners (for which she had a price of $2), for free. I loved the deal! I brought a catalog home and I’ll make sure I have a big order ready for her for next weekend. I’ll tell all my friends too. I cannot believe how incredibly reasonable she is! I ended up buying a couple of body gels for $2.00 each. I am so stocking up on goodies now… Bath & Body Works may just have some competition here!
Speaking of Bath & Body Works, a lady came in, bought some roll-on oils ($33 worth) and ended up giving me the Japanese Cherry Blosom small lotion bottle. And I had never seen this woman in my life! I thanked her deeply and I wished her the best of luck…
I had a beautiful young girl today getting a Tarot Card reading and she suffered from Bipolar Disorder. I explained to her how I had dealt with it because of someone I was involved with and how dangerous it can be… I was relieved to hear she was in treatment and the meds were in fact working for her. I warned her about her sleeping cycle, weather change, mood swings… I reminded her as long as she was aware of her actions, people would not leave her to her own demise. Click here for my blog on codependency.
I did not ask what her name was, but I shall call her “baby” when I see her again. Her mother also got a reading from me: she’s one of the strongest women that has crossed my path since I’ve been working there. I was proud of being her reader for today.
I must say I love working at the Flea Market, because you meet so many new people from all walks of life. I had been a customer of Fenix House for about 7 years before I started working there and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world! Wonderful products, strong burning oils, good networking, amazing energy, and an endless wisdom river that flows from Mr. Bill’s lectures… I absolutely love it!
Thank you for reading & buenas noches,
-Wen
