Hello everyone!
So I stopped by Taco Bell about 2 weeks ago and realized they have all these new items in their cantina menu. Of course, being the sucker for burritos that I am, I get one just to try it. Weeks later, I got it again. I couldn’t figure out why I was so incredibly full after eating it… Please read on for the explanation.
This is the description Taco Bellgives their steak cantina burrito:
“Experience our all new tender-braised thick cut steak marinated in Chef Lorena Garcia’s authentic Latin recipe, premium Latin rice, flavorful black beans, crisp romaine lettuce, guacamole made from real Hass avocados, pico de gallo prepared fresh daily, roasted corn and pepper salsa and a creamy cilantro dressing, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Also available in Chicken or Veggie”
This is the second time I’ve had this burrito and it wasn’t any less than the first time: it is simply amazing… The flavor, the guacamole, how it wasn’t spicy… I love how Taco Bellfinally realized they needed to put more into their tortillas. Usually people that stop at a fast food restaurant is because they’re in a rush to get somewhere, oftentimes they have to eat while they drive.
With no further due, I attacked my chicken burrito like a boss.
For some odd reason I decided to torture myself and look up the calories and this is what I came up with: 760 calories!!! Now, with everything ate during the day, I’m all the way up to 1,510 out of the 1,200 I was trying to eat today…
I hadn’t even looked at the calories until I typed in the name in my Fitness Pal and saw a huge amount of calories. Poo, now I have to walk… Or something!
